Statement of Faith

Gumanayesu Ministries is built on the following tenets of Christian faith. These beliefs explain our allegiance to our savior, Jesus Christ, our dedication to the work of the Kingdom of God and our stand for God’s Word.

  1. We believe in the Bible to be the only infallible authoritative Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit;
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost;
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His Bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of His personal, visible and imminent return to this earth to receive to Himself, His blood-bought Church, that it may be with Him forever;
  4. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sins is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ;
  5. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human spirit and soul and body in answer to believing prayer;
  6. We believe in the empowering of the believer by baptism with the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4, for the believer who asks for it, with the initial sign of speaking in tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance.
  7. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to Everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation;
  8. We believe in the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit; in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within each believer from the moment of spiritual rebirth; in the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit as available to all Spirit-filled believers;
  9. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ.
  10. We believe that the re-creation by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation;
  11. We believe in intensive world Evangelism and missionary work in accordance with the great commission with signs following (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16).

Today encouragement from pastor Alice

Sometimes you have to stop worrying, wondering, & doubting. Have faith that things will work out, maybe not how you planned, but just how it is meant to be.

Let God fight your battles For we do not fight against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places  Ephesians 6:12

A Word from Evangelist Naboth

To all of you dear partners who have stood with Alice and I in reaching our world with the gospel, I say May God reward you a million times. We shall never be able to tell, in this life, what your prayers and financial support has accomplished in the lives of multitudes. Thank you for sending us to the lost, the sick, the lonely, the hungry, the naked.

Every time I see the joy of salvation on the faces of multitudes accepting Christ; whenever i see at an orphan child looking at the future with hope because he/she is receiving a decent education every time we plant a new church in a village which had none; I remember that were it not for your support and generosity, all such would not be possible. Thank you very much. "God is not unfaithful to forget your labor of love which you show to his name, in that you minister to His (people) "Hebrews 6:10"

Partners, the Lord is urging me to intensify everything we've been doing. Millions still wait to be harvested into the kingdom. The needs are tremendous. I need your prayers and support more than ever. Pray that the Lord will do more in saving the lost, healing the sick and supplying resources for plating new churches and caring for the destitute. This gospel MUST BE PREACHED.

Pray also that the Lord will touch more people to partner with us in this great work. Support us in any other ways the Lord may lead you. Right now, I need all the prayers, support and encouragement I can get.

Alice and I continue to praise God for our family.

How To Receive Salvation

Take These Important Steps of Salvation to Discover These Vital Answers

  STEP #1: Understand that God's desire for you is life, abundant, and eternal.

The Bible declares:
"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).

Giving you abundant life required the supreme sacrifice:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

God desires fellowship and companionship with you. What a wonderful gift the Father has given, yet if God gave His own Son to provide an abundant and everlasting life, why don’t more people have what He has designed for us to receive? It is a question answered by this sobering realization.

STEP #2: Realize that you are separated from God.

There is a gap between God and mankind. He has provided a way for us to receive an abundant and eternal life, but people throughout the ages have made selfish choices to disobey God Almighty. These choices continue to cause separation from the Father.

God’s Word shows us that the result of sin is death. He says in His Word:
"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12).

And God also said,
"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear" (Isaiah 59:2).

Paul the apostle states in Romans 3:23,
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

And in Romans 6:23 we read:
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Every human was created with the ability and need to know God and fellowship with Him. Augustine, a minister who lived during the fourth and fifth centuries, called this longing in each of us "that God-shaped vacuum."

Every day we hear of people who are rich, famous, achievers, star athletes—people who seem to have the best life can offer—yet they try to fill that empty void in their lives with "things." They even try good works, morality, and religion. Yet they remain empty, for only God, through His Son, can fill that emptiness.

STEP #3: Accept the fact that God has provided only one solution to sin and separation from Himself.

Jesus Christ, His Son, is the only way to God. Only He can reconcile us to God the Father. Mankind may seek other solutions and worship other gods, but Jesus Christ, alone, died on the Cross for our sins and rose in triumph over the grave and eternal death. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and mankind.

The Bible explains:
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

We are also told,
"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God" (1 Peter 3:18).

There is only one way provided:
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).

For in John 14:6 we read,

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

God Almighty has provided the only way. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sin and rebellion against God by dying on the cross, shedding His blood, and rising from the dead to justify and reconcile you back to God the Father.

STEP #4: Pray to receive Jesus Christ into your life.

You can be brought back to God, and your relationship with Him can be restored by trusting in Christ alone to save your life from destruction. What an incredible exchange: Your worst for God’s best!

This step happens by asking Jesus Christ to take away your sin and to come into your heart to be your Lord and Savior.

God’s Word is very clear:
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20).

And the Bible tells us,
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Are you willing to let go of your burdens and sins?

Are you willing to turn away and repent from your sins?

Are you willing to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior now?

Pray to Receive Jesus Christ into your life.

At this moment you can pray the most important prayer of your life by simply saying:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You came to earth 2,000 years ago. I believe you died for me on the cross and shed Your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead and ascended on high. I believe You are coming back again to earth. Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. Forgive my sin. Cleanse me now with Your precious blood. Come into my heart. Save my soul right now. I give you my life. I receive You now as my Savior, my Lord, and my God. I am Yours forever, and I will serve You and follow You the rest of my days. From this moment on, I belong to You only. I no longer belong to this world, nor to the enemy of my soul. I belong to You, and I am born again.

By praying this prayer, confessing your sins, and receiving Jesus Christ into your heart, God has given you the right to become His forgiven child. The Bible gives you this assurance:

"But as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe on his name" (John 1:12).

If you have just received Jesus Christ into your life, we want to rejoice with you.  Please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Ebenezer Health Centre- Guma na Yesu

The rising tide of HIV/AIDS, which has continuously purged the economically active population in the country, has left behind a generation of parentless and helpless children and eroded the tradition of Orphan care being seen as a social obligation.  Orphans have outgrown the carrying capacity of the extended family and any interventions now require a community-based response.

In the South Western part of the country where subsistence agriculture is the main source of livelihood families have been devastated in terms of productive manpower. Areas neighboring countries in conflict displacement, encampment and redundancy has escalated the spread of HIV/AIDS and vulnerability while in other parts high population density unmatched by improved farming methods has resulted into food insecurity amongst the population.  Yet other areas are still remote in terms of accessing services related to HIV and other health problems and have few CBOs to give any support.

 In this application entitled “IMPROVING THE HEALH OF ORPHANS, THEIR FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY IN GENERAL IN KAKIIKA MBARARA DISTRICT”, Guma Na Yesu – Ministries is soliciting for funds (($37707.45$ (96154000/=) to establish a health centre that will be named, “EBENEEZER HEALTH CENTRE” that will be located in Makenke, Kakiika in Mbarara district to provide health services to over 1200 orphans and the surrounding communities.

Intervention efforts by government, if they are to have full impact need to be supplemented by other players to strengthen and extend the outreach programs for a conducive environment for the survival and optimum growth of the Orphaned Vulnerable Children (OVC) hence the involvement of Guma Na Yesu Children’s centre in improving the livelihoods of the OVC.

I have hope that with the new Health Centre(EBENEEZER HEALTH CENTRE), vulnerable the orphans and communities will be reached with a minimum health and socio-economic package for sustainable development; and I call upon you to support Guma Na Yesu Children’s centre in the struggle and back the efforts of other development partners for the same cause. Thank you

Kingdom Secondary School

Kingdom Secondary School

Kingdom secondary school  a private secondary schools in Makenke Mbarara. It is located in Kakiika subcountry, Kashari Constituency Mbarara district, in south western Uganda. It is a fully fledged mixed O  Level secondary school. It has an enrolment of 200 students (68 boys and 142girls). It has 16 members of the teaching staff and 5 members of the support staff. The mission of the school is: Supporting the needy and Vulnerable students with  access quality education guided by spiritual counsel .

This school was started with a greater need to help the students From Gumanayesu Children’s centre Who have gone through elementary school and have had a challenge to further their education due to lack of school dues , may children had resorted to dubious ways of getting money other ending up on streets , girls taken up as house maids to be able to earn a living because in Uganda an elementary education cannot earn someone a professional or decent job. I t was due to these challenges that Pr Naboth Tumuhairwe decided to raise his faith once again support these children through secondary Education through Kingdom secondary school . This school was started in 2011 with about 20 students and two teachers , it has grown to 200 students and 21 committed staff .

success 2013

Our students sat for their Uganda Certificate of Education Exams in OctoberNovember 2013  and passed very well , each student was able to have a Uganda Certificate of Education with flying colors !!!   This year 2014 we are expecting more and more success stories with our current Senior Four Students .   At kingdom we take success a priority adn we belive nothing is impossible before God ! as our MOTTO says With God Everything is Possible

Challenges and Needs
There is need for accommodation facilities for the learners.  dormitories for the increasing number as well as reducing congestion in the dormitories. Unlike only one block, all the other dormitories for boys are improvised. There is a great need for boys’ dormitories. Metallic beds are also needed to replace the old wooden ones.

The school needs science laboratory structures , Considering even the fact that computer studies are now part of the curriculum the school . There is a need for computers and a computer laboratory. There is need for a electricty installation in the school .

The school has recently been able to have acces to clean water with the provision of a over 3000 litre capacity cistern tank with clean running tapped water , this has been an amazing blessing from the ministry friends IN East OLYMPIA.

More structures need to be constructed for chapel, classrooms, administration block, main hall and dining hall.

Meager salaries for the staff are also a great challenge. There is need for better remuneration to keep the staff motivated and committed in doing their work. At times, good teachers leave the schools to better paying schools.

The school also needs a school truck for the children to help in transport to seminars and study trips.

Meet the Founders :Naboth &Alice Tumuhairwe

Evangelist Naboth .K.Tumuhairwe and his wife Alice, are the founders Guma Na Yesu Ministries found in Mbarara-Western Uganda , they are committed church planters for 22 years have seen their ministry grow from one small church to over 300 Churches scattered throughout the western region of UGANDA .These churches together have over 100,000 members served by 460 leaders.

Naboth is an energetic evangelist who spends most of his time conducting gospel crusades, conferences and seminars  through the great lakes region of Africa : - Uganda ,Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda,Burundi,Democratic Republic Of Congo, and many other African nations

Naboth has also reached the European nations and the United States of America for the gospel of Jesus Christ and witnessed souls come to Christ .

Alice is the  women/Senior pastor  at Makenke Redeemed Church -assisted by a team of leaders who head different departments , while Naboth Spends all his time evangelizing and planting churches here and there ,''He says his agenda is to reach out for many souls for Christ in Africa and beyond '' ,so every year big conferences are held at this church to help bring many to Christ ,outreaches are done every month to various countries by Evangelist  Naboth Tumuhairwe

Naboth has a vision to reach the whole of Africa and beyond with the good news of Christ and if you are there and would love to co-ordinate him to your area for a crusade , seminar conference or any spiritual gathering please contact us.

Naboth was born in the year 1958  to Banyankole couple in western Uganda. His father, a respected local chief, was a very religious man. He made sure that his family attended services in their local Anglican church every Sunday. Naboth was thus baptized and confirmed in the Anglican church when he was still a young boy.

Despite their deep religiosity, however, Naboth's parents did not have a personal relationship with the lord. (They did commit their lives to Christ in their old age, shortly before they died, through Naboth's influence). Nevertheless, the religious atmosphere in Naboth home made him aware of the existence of God and the spirit world early in life.

As a young boy, his heart was often strongly drawn to seek God. Several times he hid himself and prayed to God, asking for help with his exams or not to be beaten at school by his teachers! He read his father's Bible every once in awhile.

When he became a teenager, however, Naboth lost interest in religion though he continued going to church to please his parents. This went on till he joined college. There he started feeling the desire to seek God returning.
Resumed the occasional seasons of prayer and Bible reading. He, however, finished college and started working without getting saved.

In 1980 Naboth attended a small open air gospel meeting which radically changed his life. As he listened to the loud Pentecost preacher talk about Jesus, he realized that he lacked what the preacher and his colleagues had. He did not have a personal knowledge of God. He lacked the reality of a living, saving Jesus. He had not experienced the freedom from guilt nor was the power of the Holy Spirit the preacher speaking about.

Beginning of his ministry

A few months after his conversion, Naboth entered the marriage ministry. He married his sweet heart, Alice Susan Tumuhairwe, who was a born again Christian too. Their wedding was extremely simple.

Although Naboth was led to Christ by a Pentecostal preacher, he did not immediately abandon the Anglican Church. Actually, at that time, he was working in the office of the Anglican Bishop of West Ankole diocese as canteen Manager. He was also youth leader at Ruharo cathedral, the diocesan headquarters church.

Naboth began sharing what he knew about Christ's saving power with the young people he led and anyone else that cared to listen. He became active in the small fellowship of Balokole (born again Christians) there in the cathedral.

In 1985, Naboth and Alice felt that they could not continue to grow spiritually the way they desired within the Anglican Church. They longed for the power of the Holy Spirit that the Pentecostal so much emphasized. They decided to join a small Pentecostal church-the United Pentecostal Church.

With the experience they had gained from leading the youth at the Anglican Cathedral, the Tumuhairwe's immediately found themselves providing leadership for the youth at the Pentecostal church. They also taught in the church school, where Naboth served as founding head master, (Both Naboth and Alice are qualified teachers)

Planting of first Church
In 1991, Naboth and Alice left united Pentecostal church in Mbarara town and went back to their ancestral home in Rwebishuri, 4km from Mbarara. They started holding services in their small house. a short while later, a well-wisher offered them aplot of land in the village next to theirs. They raised a very simple mud and wattle structure and moved the church there. By that time, the church had grown to 13members.
That first church is what has now grown to the several hundred member at Gumanayesu hill OPPOSITE Makenke ARMY BARRACKS . which in turn has so far directly given birth to over 300 other churches.
